State-of-the-art technology
Our terminal has state-of-the-art-technology. It is the only terminal in southern Latin America to work with computer operated straddle carriers. Neither Brazil nor Buenos Aires have these container handling machines in their ports. The great advantage of this technology is the quick loading and unloading of container ships, increasing terminal performance and productivity.
Computer systems and software
Our terminal regularly updates and improves its computer systems and software, pursuing the world wide Katoen Natie objective of having all information available on line, safe, secure, complete and reliable.
All the resources of the company, equipment, software and personnel, are coordinated and prepared to implement the necessary changes, according to our client’s requirements. Katoen Natie develops its own software systems for ship operations in order to offer its clients the ideal solutions tailored to their needs.

- Microsoft Business Intelligent: ERP, the main system for all terminal operations.
- The Katoen Natie group is a Microsoft Business Intelligent Partner; this enables all the members of the organization to faster access available computer tools.
- Isokey: a program for quality support for our ISO 9000, 14000 and 18000 programs.
- Acceda: ensures safety and control for terminal visitors according to ISPS code regulations.
- Data transmission software: communicates container moves on-line to the port authority.
