Management System
Katoen Natie Terminal TCP implemented an overall Management System certified by LSQA (Latu Sistemas Quality Austria).

The implementation and certification process of our overall management system has been progressive. We have been audited since 2003 by quality consultants. Our company is currently certified by LATU SISTEMAS for compliance with international ISO regulations ISO 9001:2000 (quality), ISO 14001:2004 (environment) and OHSAS 18001:1999 (labor safety).

These certifications attest the improvement in our services, our concern for the environment and the safe working conditions in our terminal.

Certificates of Quality Procedures and Responsibility for the Environment

After the audit and certification of our quality management system, the Board of Directors focused on implementing an environmental management system, and worked towards this objective during the year 2005. Our experts carefully studied the potential environmental impact from our activities to design specific environmental programs and secure control procedures.

TCP was certified on December 20th, 2005 by LATU SISTEMAS for compliance with ISO 14001:2004.

Occupational health and safety

Once the company’s quality and environment management systems were certified, the Quality Committee began to formally pursue the Board’s interest in occupational health and safety within the Terminal.

We identified the inherent risks and potential hazards in our activities with our minds focused on occupational health and safety. We evaluated the possibilities and designed the programs and control procedures required.

On March 27th, 2007 we obtained from LATU SISTEMAS the certificate of compliance with OHSAS 18001:1999.

Our people: training and commitment

This is the first certification issued for port operations in our country.

Our company has an overall management system. The challenge for 2008 is to consolidate this system through further training and participation of our personnel.
