Expansion project
|
General description of the project
The project includes the construction of a quaywall 350 mts long by 35 mts wide in reinforced concrete. The quaywall will be built as an extension of the existing quay (Muelle de Escala).
The project also includes the expansion of the terminal’s container yard, plus extensive dredging activities and the necessary ground preparation works.
The quaywall shall have the technical specs to hold the specialized equipment used in container ship operations (gantry cranes). The container yard will be used for the stacking and storage of full and empty containers and for circulation of container handling machinery.
